Devin Haney Working Hard To Be In Shape For George Kambosos Unification

Devin Haney’s (27-0, 15 KOs) dream is coming true very soon.

The WBC lightweight world champion is set to tackle unified champion George Kambosos Jr. (20-0, 10 KOs) in less than a month.

The match will take place at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia on June 4. Haney and his father Bill held a press conference on Thursday at the Top Rank Gym. The American will be trying to complete the fifth defense of his world title.

If he overwhelms the Australian star, Haney will also become the king of the lightweights at just 23. Many experts believe that the peak years of Haney are yet to come. Therefore, to get to this position speaks volumes about his fighting capacity.

This match will be telecasted on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, and the United States.

Speaking to the press, the 23-year-old stated that he can hardly wait to meet Kambosos Jr. down under.

He says that he has worked tirelessly behind the scenes and believes that he has in his capacity to get the better of the host.

The crowd will definitely be behind Kambosos, who is in the position after pulling off an upset win over Teofimo Lopez.
