Diaz Responds to Rumors of GSP Fight

A potential summer superfight between Nate Diaz and Georges St Pierre may not actually happen if Diaz has anything to say about it.

As reported by MMA Fighting, UFC President Dana White teased a potential bout between the two — contested at lightweight, for UFC 227 on Aug. 4 in Los Angeles — earlier this week on UFC Unfiltered. Despite his boss’ claims, however, Diaz does not appear to be all for fighting GSP.

Nate Diaz took to social media, accusing GSP of cheating during GSP’s welterweight title defense against Nate’s brother, Nick, back at UFC 158.

Both Diaz brothers have accused GSP of using steroids and missing weight for the title bout.

Nate Diaz has not fought since his two 2016 bouts with Conor McGregor. He has spoken out about a comeback to the Octagon this year. GSP, meanwhile, returned from a four-year hiatus to win the UFC Middleweight Title back at UFC 217 in November. He relinquished the title, however, following a colitis diagnosis.
