Diaz Tells Farmer To Sleep With His Belt

One day ahead of his shot at becoming a world champion Jojo Diaz is warning Tevin Farmer to enjoy his title while he can.

Diaz’s chance to become IBF super featherweight champion comes after both he and Farmer talked their ways into the co-main event of a DAZN streamed card headlined by WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade.

“There’s a lot at stake, for both of us,” Diaz said at Tuesday’s pre-fight press conference (reported by Boxing Scene).

“We have a lot to live up to. [Farmer] talked a lot of sh–, he has to back it all up. I talked a lot of sh–, so I have to come through as well.”

Nearly two years after his loss to then featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr, Diaz has battled back to title contention with a four-fight winning streak and talking smack to Farmer on social media.

Diaz turned up the head on Tuesday, as he gave the defending champion a stern warning as they countdown to fight night.

“Tevin Farmer, I hope you’re sleeping with that belt at night,” Diaz noted to Farmer. “Because in two days, that sh– is mine.”
