Did Khabib Nurmagomedov Sign With A Russian Football Team?
Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from competing in MMA last October, but on Saturday, reports said he’s taking up a different direction.
Legion Dynamo, who play in the third-tier Russian Professional Football League, announced on Instagram that they signed Nurmagomedov to the team with a photo of the former UFC lightweight champion shaking the hand of a club official.

Nurmagomedov announced his retirement following his submission victory against American fighter Justin Gaethje. It was his first fight following the death of his father, Abdulmanap, who died due to Covid-19 complications.
But the former fighter did hint to this transition.
In January, Nurmagomedov tweeted he was preparing for his debut in the sport.
Legion Dynamo is third in the competition this season.
Despite the news, Ali Abdelaziz has claimed Nurmagomedov’s signing as “fake news.”
Tried to confirm this report of @TeamKhabib signing for a Russian soccer team with @AliAbdelaziz00. He said there was “absolutely no truth” to the report and labeled it “completely fake news.” https://t.co/jWbzb7EdXG
