Diego Lopez believes that he will be able to sign in the UFC, in the near future.

Featherweight Champion of the Lux Fight League Diego Lopes  finally received his U.S work visa and believes, that he will be offered to fight in a big promotion like UFC. Lopes (18-3-0 on Sherdog, 19-3-0 Tapology), is the 2nd ranked of 525 Latin America Professional featherweights and just like all other fighters, his goal is to be a member of the biggest promotion of MMA.

As Lopes said in a recent interview, he had some problems with his visa, as of now he has received it and now he is ready for the call.  He also said, that the only problem up until now, was the visa, thus after getting it there are no more problems, and he thinks he is ready to compete with the best fighters in the world in the UFC.

Lopes says he is ready to fight not only in his division (featherweight 145 Pounds, 66 kg), he is also ready to compete at lightweight (155 pounds, 70 Kg) or even at his natural weight.

In his interview, he mentioned that he is a very active fighter and believes that this is the perfect time to compete in big organizations.

“If I’m being real, I do think this is the perfect moment because whenever I’m fighting MMA, I’m also competing in jiu-jitsu – so I’m always very active” Lopes said. “I’ve had the fortune that in every event that I’ve competed in, I’ve been champion. Since the time I started until now, I have four titles in different organizations, and I think that’s prepared me for when the moment comes.”

It’s been a really long journey for the Brazilian fighter, as he says he sacrificed a lot to get where he is. Lopez says he has dreamt a lot about this moment, and now he thinks it’s time to make the dream become reality. Lopes says in his interview:

“I have thought about it a lot, I think when the opportunity comes, a whole movie is going to play in my head with everything that I’ve been through – leaving my hometown at 19 years old and getting to Mexico at 20, being far away from my family, and sacrificing many things to make this dream happen. So if the opportunity comes, I’m going to hug it, hold on tight and not let it get by.”
