Dillian Whyte Likely To Fight Chris Arreola On October 30

WBC Interim heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte is likely to face off against Chris Arreola on October 30, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

Whyte’s return to action will take place at O2 Arena. Whyte has been frustrated with not being given a chance to become a title challenger despite spending several years acing big fights. In this clash, the British heavyweight will look to make a case for the title after if he manages to thump Arreola next month.

Hearn took to Twitter to confirm the date and venue for Whyte’s next showdown.

“Save the date – he is back!!!” Hearn wrote. “After more than two years away from UK fans on home soil, Dillian Whyte is back at The O2 [on] October 30. Get ready for a huge show in London. Full card dropping soon @Daznboxing.”

In case talks with Arreola’s team break down, Jermaine Franklin and Charles Martin are the next opponents in line.

In his last fight, the Body Snatcher avenged his loss to Alexander Povetkin in early 2021. The Brit dominated the entire fight before landing a fourth-round knockout punch to recapture the championship.

Arreola hasn’t yet confirmed the fight nor has he revealed his intentions regarding the potential fight with Whyte.
