Dillian Whyte On Ruiz vs. Arreola: ‘Typical Joke Fight From The Fake Mexican’

Dillian Whyte has sounded off on Andy Ruiz vs. Chris Arreola.

Ruiz and Arreola are set to headline a PBC on FOX pay-per-view card. The heavyweight tilt will take place on May 1. It’ll be held inside Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Whyte shared his belief that this is a gimme fight for Ruiz.

“A strategic comeback fight. It’s a fight that’s going to make him look good. Make him look like, ‘Oh yeah, he’s this and he’s that,’ but on paper, it’s not. If you run it on paper, it’s not, because Chris Arreola is shot. Chris Arreola has been shot for a few years. If he was fighting Chris Arreola a few years ago, people would be like, ‘No, that’s a garbage fight.’ Now it’s the same, if not worse.

“It’s a good strategic move from his team, him coming back and he’ll bash Arreola. ‘Andy Ruiz, yeah he’s back, and he’s motivated, and he looked so good.’ Let’s be honest, it’s Chris Arreola he’s fighting. Typical joke fight from the fake Mexican.”

This will be Ruiz’s first bout since losing a rematch against Anthony Joshua back in December 2019. Arreola hasn’t fought since August 2019.
