Dollaway-Akhmedov Added to UFC Moscow
A middleweight bout between C.B. Dollaway and Omari Akhmedov has reportedly been signed for the UFC Moscow event on Sept. 15, according to a report from ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.
Dollaway will come into this bout off back-to-back wins. He most recently fought at UFC 222, where he defeated Hector Lombard after Lombard was disqualified for knocking out Dollaway with two punches after the first round had ended. Previously, Dollaway defeated Ed Herman in a light heavyweight bout by unanimous decision at the finale of The Ultimate Fighter season 25 in July 2017.
That was Dollaway’s first bout since 2015 and snapped a three-fight losing streak that featured losses to Lyoto Machida, Michael Bisping and Nate Marquardt.
Akhmedov is unbeaten in three fights, battling to a majority draw with Marvin Vettori at UFC 219. It was Akhmedov’s first bout at middleweight since his UFC debut in November 2013.
UFC Moscow takes place from the Olympic Sports Complex, and it marks the first UFC event ever in Russia. The main event is currently scheduled to be Mark Hunt vs. Aleksei Oleinik in a heavyweight bout.
