Dominick Reyes vs. Jiri Prochazka On Tap For February 27
Dominick Reyes’ next bout is in the works and it’s a doozy.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reports UFC President Dana White has informed him that Reyes vs. Jiri Prochazka is being targeted for February 27. The bout will headline a UFC Fight Night card. This is a true test to see just how good Prochazka is. Prochazka had dominated the light heavyweight division under the RIZIN banner and he earned a stellar knockout over Volkan Oezdemir in his UFC debut.

Reyes is coming off a second-round TKO loss to Jan Blachowicz back on September 27. That bout was contested for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. It’s just the second loss in the pro MMA career of Reyes.
Prochazka is riding an 11-fight winning streak. He hasn’t suffered a loss since December 31, 2015. Prochazka has beaten the likes of current Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Vadim Nemkov, Muhammed Lawal, and Oezdemir.
As for Reyes, he’ll be looking for his first win since, October 2019. Reyes has dropped back-to-back bouts against Jon Jones and Blachowicz. His last victory came against former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman. That was a first-round knockout for “The Devastator.”
