Donald Cerrone Gets Emotional During UFC 274 Press Conference
Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone got very emotional during the press conference.
When the journalist asked if Cerrone was looking forward to getting back in front of fans and not in UFC Apex Arena, Cowboy could not hold his tears during the answer.
“Oh, man, it’s not me; it’s my son, ” Cerrone said with tears. “I can’t wait to walk out of that tunnel.”
“…Anytime I was working out, and I did not want to do it, that’s what I thought of, so I can’t wait.”
“Cannot wait to see him smile, like, “wow, this is my dad,” he said.
In Cerrone’s last six fights, he lost five of them and one is No Contest. Before losing to Tony Ferguson in 2019, he won by unanimous decision against AI Iaquinta. Before that he defeated Alexander Hernandez by KO/TKO. Those were the last times he saw victory.
Still, Cerrone is one of the veterans of the promotion and has fought big names like Robbie Lawler and Jorge Masvidal, to name a few.
On Saturday, he faces Joe Lauzon.
