Donald Trump was reportedly paid approximately $2.5 million for his role in commentating on a boxing bout.
That is according to The Washington Post. A financial disclosure was said to have been filed by the former president in April which covered his income across 2021, and 2022 with little focus on 2023.
However, a revision of that filing shows that Trump’s income was over 1.2 billion. And a part of that sum included a reported $2.5 million from Triller Legends II, Hollywood, Florida.
This was in reference to a boxing fight between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort that Trump had commentated on which was done to remember the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
Triller Legends II has confirmed that such a payment was made.
“The payment made to Trump for his commentary was consistent with the fees typically received by celebrity commentators,” Triller Legends II
Trump is clearly a fan of combat sports having been pictured at numerous UFC events. And the filing shows that the former president knows a thing or two about combat sports.
