Dos Anjos-Lee to Headline UFC Rochester
Former UFC lightweight champion and current welterweight contender Rafael dos Anjos will get the opportunity to welcome Kevin Lee to the 170-pound division when they meet in the main event of UFC Rochester.
Dos Anjos comes into this contest off back-to-back unanimous decision losses, falling to current UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman back in November and to Colby Covington last June at UFC 225 in an interim welterweight title fight. The loss to Covington snapped a three-fight win streak Dos Anjos had since moving up to welterweight after losing the UFC lightweight title in 2016.
Lee will enter with losses in two of his last three bouts, including a unanimous decision loss to Al Iaquinta last December in an entertaining bout named Fight of the Night. Lee was 16-2 when he met Tony Ferguson for the interim UFC lightweight title back at UFC 216 in October 2017, losing by third-round submission. Lee scored a finish of Edson Barboza between the two losses and a controversial submission win over Michael Chiesa prior to the interim 155-pound title fight.
UFC Rochester takes place on May 18 from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York.
