Drakkar Klose Vs. Mark Madsen Out Of October UFC Lineup

Drakkar Klose and Mark Madsen’s bitter rivalry won’t be resolved at UFC Fight Night 213.

Once set for the October 29 event in Las Vegas, the battle will no longer occur. Klose reportedly suffered an ACL injury.

According to sources who spoke with MMA Junkie, Klose (13-2-1 MMA, 7-2 UFC) tore his ACL during training, which led to the cancellation of the fight.

It’s unclear if Madsen (12-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) will be at the event or not.

Since the cancellation, neither Madsen nor Klose have made any public remarks.

The contest was motivated by ill will and animosity.

Because of Madsen’s associations with his old coaching staff, Klose demanded it following a victory against Brandon Jenkins in April.

The UFC Fight Night 213 lineup includes the following:

  • Arnold Allen vs. Calvin Kattar
  • Max Griffin vs. Tim Means
  • Andrei Arlovski vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima
  • Dustin Jacoby vs. Khalil Rountree
  • Roman Dolidze vs. Phil Hawes
  • Steve Garcia vs. Chase Hooper
  • Joseph Holmes vs. Jun Yong Park
  • Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs. Jared Vanderaa
  • Garrett Armfield vs. Christian Rodriguez
  • Josh Fremd vs. Tresean Gore
  • Cody Durden vs. Kleydson Rodrigues
  • Mark Madsen vs. TBA
