Dustin Poirier Brought On As Desk Analyst For UFC 287
With UFC 287: Pereira vs. Adesanya 2 ready to kick off this weekend, the organization has decided to call upon the expert opinion of Dustin Poirier (29-7) to fulfill the role of desk analyst during the event’s post-fight show, alongside Din Thomas and Michael Eaves.
The former interim lightweight champion has come out on the victorious side of several high profile matches, with notable wins over Conor McGregor, Max Holloway and Michael Chandler.

Despite falling short of grasping the lightweight championship title on two separate occasions in his UFC tenure, “The Diamond” has found a special place in the hearts of many UFC fans given his exciting performances and likeable attitude. With the public opinion of him, and his expertise with regard to elite MMA, selecting Poirier for this analyst role could not be more fitting.
At the age of 34, some have begun to question how many more years Poirier will have at the top level in the sport, and with that in mind, it makes even more sense for him to transition to an analyst role to extend his MMA related career.
