Dwayne Johnson To Crown BMF Champion

The Rock says its official, as one of the biggest names in entertainment will crown the BMF champion at UFC 244.

Former WWE champion and current Hollywood megastar, Dwayne Johnson, will be inside Madison Square Garden on Saturday night to place the belt on the winner of Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz’s battle for the newly created title.

“This addition to the company and the brand and to the sport, this BMF belt, I think it’s brilliant,” Johnson said to ESPN. “It’s so smart and it’s just fun, man.”

Masvidal made the ask following the fight’s announcement because of Johnson’s connection to Masvidal’s native Miami, where Johnson played college football at the University of Miami.

Johnson will also be at the UFC 245 press conference on Friday to announce something he wanted to tell the UFC fans and MMA community first.

“That place is gonna be rocking, it’s gonna be electrifying,” Johnson said. “I can’t wait to get in there, man.”
