Eddie Hearn Feeling Confident That Joshua Vs. Wilder Will Happen

Eddie Hearn is confident that a deal with Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will be made.

According to reports, Saudi Arabia is keen on having a four-man heavyweight tournament in December.

And as part of that process, a fight could play out, provided that Joshua gets through his fight in August, which could be against Dillian Whyte.

The Matchroom Boxing promoter has admitted that an offer has been made to Joshua from Saudi, but it has not been made into an official offer just yet.

“We have an offer without a contract. So we need to wait on that contract,” Hearn

But provided that everything goes to plan Hearn expects Wilder to accept any offer that may come his way.

“Subject to a formal contract being sent, we’re very confident that fight gets made. I can’t speak on behalf of Deontay Wilder, but I’m very confident he’ll be accepting the money and the deal that comes through from Saudi Arabia.

“For us, it’s making sure that all of our contracts are respected. That probably means a multi-platform deal around that night. We can’t breach our agreements, but I don’t think that it will be an issue,” Hearn

The fight has been a long time coming since previous talks failed to result in what would have been a historic undisputed fight at the time.

But the breakdown in talks, coupled with Joshua’s loss to Andy Ruiz Jr, meant that the bout did not happen. But this time around, there is hope that it will finally get made.
