During a recent meeting with Chris Eubank Jr, Eddie Hearn suggested joining forces to set up a third and deciding match with Conor Benn.
Eubank found victory in his first meeting with Benn in April 2025, but fell short on judges’ scorecards after a fairly punishing outing in their rematch later that year. Eubank has not appeared in the ring since their last fight, while Benn defeated Regis Prograis by decision this past April, but more recently suffered a massive setback against Ryan Garcia earlier this month, losing by knockout in the second round.
Many pointed to Benn looking drained by his weight cut down to 147-pounds for the fight against Garcia, which makes a fight at a higher weight versus Eubank potentially enticing. Both of their previous meetings were contested at 160-pounds, and Matchroom President Eddie Hearn says he wants the trilogy at 168.
“It’ll be a fair fight, and it’ll be up at 168,” he said. “This is just me thinking in my head. There’s nothing imminent with Chris Eubank Jr.”
“Me on Team Eubank against Dana White and Conor Benn makes the fight twice as big,” he said. “The trilogy will be interesting.”
