Eddie Hearn Reacts To Fury vs Joshua Reports
Eddie Hearn denied reports that a deal between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury has been signed.
Hearn’s comments come after reports suggested the two heavyweights had finalized an agreement “behind the scenes” for a late 2026 or early 2027 clash on Netflix.
“The Fury-Joshua fight is signed. Okay, it is signed in the background. I’ve got that on good authority. It’s with the big money people. It’ll be on Netflix. They are moving towards it, but they both want the fight,” Gareth A. Davies (reporter)
Joshua is currently focusing on rebuilding his career following the December 29, 2025, car accident in Nigeria that killed his close friends Sina Ghami and Lateef “Latz” Ayodele. Joshua has returned to light training, with suggestions he could return for late July or August 2026 to help regain his timing and sharpness. Hearn dismissed the notion of a finalized contract as premature.
“Completely untrue. There is absolutely nothing signed with Anthony Joshua to fight Tyson Fury next. There is nothing agreed. Since then, there have been no conversations really about that fight, other than in the last few days conversations with Dr. Rakan, Sela, about starting to think about revisiting the plan,” Hearn said
