Edson Barboza Vs. Bryce Mitchell Added To UFC Fight Card In March
Another fight between one of the best strikers and grapplers of the division will happen in March.
Edson Barboza will reportedly face Bryce Mitchell at a UFC event on March 5.
After changing weight category, Barboza archived some success in the featherweight division by defeating Makwan Amirkhani and Shane Burgos.
But rising Georgian star Giga Chikadze outstroke him in the “best striker of the division” fight. In the third round, Chikadze landed several huge punches, dropped him and finished Barboza.
Bryce has a record of 14 victories and zero defeats with five of these victories in the UFC. Nine out of 14 victories he earned via submissions, and the rest of them via decision.
He did not win any fight with KO or TKO. His last appearance inside the octagon was almost a year ago against Andre Fili, where he earned a unanimous decision victory.
Mitchell remains the No. 11 ranked contender since Barboza dropped from No. 8 to No. 10 since. The winner might enter the top 10 and be two or three fights away from the title shot.
