Eduardo Nunez Sparks Jesus Martin Ceyca Out Cold In Second Round

In the super featherweight co-main event of Matchroom Boxing’s Friday night card in Culiacan, Mexico, Jesus Martin Ceyca found himself on the receiving end of a devastating overhand right from Eduardo Nunez that sent him to another dimension.

Going into this match, Ceyca carried a healthy undefeated record that consisted of 17 professional wins with 8 knockouts. Conversely, Nunez had only suffered one defeat in his 24 fight career, via unanimous decision back in 2018, and otherwise had knocked out every opponent he had met him in the ring.

In the second round of his fight with Ceyca, Nunez extended his 100% knockout rate to a 24th win. With his opponent moving backwards following a right hook to the body, Nunez pressed Ceyca towards the ropes and unloaded a nasty bomb of a right hand that connected flush to the jaw of the undefeated resident of Culiacan.

The punch sent Ceyca directly to the canvas in an unconscious state, and the referee waved off the fight immediately.

With that kind of power at 130-pounds, Nunez is an extremely entertaining fighter to watch, and a massive threat to the super featherweight division.
