Errol Spence’s Return Announced

Former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence (28-1-0, 22 KOs) will make his return to the ring on July 25 against former WBO super welterweight champion Tim Tszyu (26-3, 18 KOs).

Spence has not fought since the first loss of his career, a ninth-round stoppage defeat to Terence Crawford on July 29, 2023, which will make his hiatus from the ring about three-years to the day of his last fight. He also returns under new guidance, having parted ways with long-time trainer Derrick James in favor of Ronnie Shields. Adding to the challenge, it will be Spence’s first ever fight at 154-pounds.

Tszyu called out Spence following his win over Denis Nurja on April 5, and comes into the fight having won his last two (against lower -level opposition) since a defeat to Sebastian Fundora in July 2025. He is the more active and settled fighter heading into the matchup, which does not yet have a venue lined up.
