Eryk Anders Opens Up On His Life After The Octagon

Eryk Anders has opened up on his plans about leaving the octagon.

The countdown begins as he steps into the ring at UFC 289 on June 10th, 2023.

With an impressive track record of 15-7 MMA (7-7 UFC), Anders is all set for his clash against the formidable Marc-Andre Barriault (15-6 MMA, 4-5 UFC) at the Rogers Arena.

Having already achieved significant milestones in his career, Anders is ready to embark on a new chapter.

The heavyweight warrior reflected on his achievements but has also become increasingly aware of the sacrifices involved. He added how it was time for him to find a balance and prioritize his role as a father.

“Five (more fights) puts me at 20 UFC fights, and I think that’s truly remarkable—very few athletes reach such a milestone with the UFC. As my kids are getting older, it’s time for me to reevaluate my priorities.

“While I have always been actively involved in their lives, the demands of being away for two months at a time, fighting, undergoing surgeries, and returning home incapacitated has taken its toll.

Now, it’s essential for me to invest more in my children. At 36, I can already see the light at the end of the tunnel,” Anders
