Chris Eubank Jr. has hired Brian McIntyre (Bomac) as his trainer for the rematch with Liam Smith on September 2nd, 2023.
Bomac’s credentials have certainly gone through the roof following Terence Crawford’s win over Errol Spence Jr.
The impressive manner in which Crawford dropped Spence three times, negated his jab, also drew praise for Bomac and his game plan.

With that being said, the timing for Eubank is crucial. His former trainer, Roy Jones Jr, recently confirmed that he and Eubank were parting ways.
The decision ultimately came after Eubank’s fourth-round TKO loss to Smith in the first fight.
And given that Eubank’s career is potentially on the line, as a defeat may rule out a potential Conor Benn fight, the boxer is remaining focused on the steps ahead.
“Terence Crawford’s whole team is actually now working with me. We’re off to a great start…Bomac was in town and I thought you know what, I like this guy. I like what he’s doing with Terence. Let’s see what we can do.
“He was ready. He said listen boxing is my life and as soon as this [Spence] fight is done, I’ll be with you in the gym the next day. Which is a sign of a great coach, someone that’s willing to do that. So I’m excited to see how things work out.
“It is refreshing to have a new perspective. A new lease of life. A new challenge,” Eubank
Despite this being the case, the boxing community doubted that a change of trainer would help Eubank overcome Smith.

Won't make a difference, Amir Khan tried that when he fought Kell Brook and he got absolutely destroyed.
