Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn reportedly sold 620,000 PPVs.
Eubank won the fight via a unanimous decision to give Benn his first loss: 116-112 (x3). The build-up was filled with controversy as Eubank Jr. missed the 160-pound weight limit. Eubank also made things personal by egging Benn during their kick-off presser. This was in reference to Benn’s failed VADA tests for Clomiphene when the WBC offered an explanation that Benn may have eaten too many eggs.
Chris Eubank Sr. was against the fight over safety concerns, saying he would not attend. Sr. would cause a shock by attending on fight night, as he walked out his son. Eddie Hearn had previously said the fight did over a million buys, although it is not clear if that was referring to global numbers.
“Well over a million worldwide. DAZN did extremely well. Sky Sports obviously another great platform as well. The rematch is on another level,” Hearn said
