Extravaganza Muay Thai Show In Lebanon
The Biggest Governing Body of Professional Muay Thai, the WMC, Sanctioned another Quality Show
On Saturday 27th of August the capital of Lebanon, Beirut hosted a world class Muay Thai show sanctioned by the WMC.
Victory Road Championships had put together a cracking 21 fights with a stunner of a headliner for the vacant WMC featherweight Intercontinental title (57.14 kg).
Local gladiator Omar Halabi took on the French Darren Rolland. France is notorious for their world class Muay Thai fighters and Rolland is no exception: he looked fit and prepared as the bell rang for the first round, and Halabi went at him immediately.
With the fierce start one could fear that the fight would turn into an ugly slugfest but it was a beautiful display of mastery with both fighters displaying very high technical Muay Thai skills.
Rolland landed the more accurate blows and displayed sublime footwork, and despite the massive heart and pressure from Halabi, it was the French who walked away victorious.
