The pair had already met once, back in October, but things came to an unfortunate end when Lineker was unable to continue the match following a knee strike to the groin from Andrade. The bout was labeled as a no contest, and now the highly anticipated rematch is finally here.

When Andrade was asked to comment on the upcoming bout, he explained that he knows Lineker will come in as a different fighter than the first time, but Andrade is confident that he is superior, and plans to finish what he started in the first fight.
Additionally, Andrade expressed that he will not need the full 25 minutes to finish things, and is planning to carefully await the right time to knock his opponent out.
“This is my chance to make John Lineker look easy, and make a huge statement. Afterward, people will be talking about this fight for a long time”
Andrade on Lineker not joining the virtual press conference:
“It must be embarrassing for Lineker, he doesn’t show up to the interview. Even in our last interview, it seemed like he was embarrassed. He doesn’t want to be in this position. I’m not mad or anything, I just think it’s funny he didn’t show up.”
