Fans Concerned Over Jermall Charlo’s Slurred Speech – ‘I Hope He’s Ok’

Jermall Charlo raised concerns on social media as the star’s slurred speech caught the attention of many boxing fans.

Charlo has been out of the ring for two years since his last fight with Juan Macias Montiel.

While that was a unanimous-decision win, the star has not defended his WBC middleweight title for two years. And during the course of that process, Charlo has been dealing with mental health issues.

He had been linked with a fight with Canelo Alvarez only for his brother, Jermell Charlo, to face the Mexican on September 30th, 2023.

The boxer expanded on that decision, as well as highlighting his intention to face the Mexican too.

But in doing so, Charlo’s slurred speech and his discussion on psychedelics raised a lot of concern

“All right, so I’m going to tell y’all the real s**t.  Yeah, I signed the contract with Canelo too. I gave it to my brother first, so we both make money.

“Is y’all crazy? We both going to make money, but if I can give it to my brother first until, I guess, get right because they so-called I gotta get right.

“I got get right. I ain’t tripping, but as long as I get a fight with [Canelo]. “Y’all want some psychedelics? Y’all mad at me because I gave the fight to my brother? Let my brother fight. My brother got to go up two weight classes,” Charlo

And this concern was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.
