On February 25th, 2023, Floyd Mayweather takes on Aaron Chalmers in his latest exhibition, as the boxing community lashes out at the undercard.
The day prior to the exhibition match, Mayweather will be celebrating his 46th birthday. In truth, boxing’s image has been diminished by the presence of celebrities and reality show personalities typified by the new ‘misfits’ boxing.
The presence of Mayweather on a promotional poster alongside celebrities was the last thing people expected to see.
Fortunately, there is a single bright spot to the undercard – a four-round cruiserweight bout led by Ulysses Diaz, a professional boxer from Florida. And yet, the social media reaction was far from pleasant.

Despite this being the case, both fighters are looking to put on a show for the crowd: “I was originally supposed to face a different opponent, but injuries happen and I’m glad that Aaron Chalmers could step up so that we could give the fans what they want.
“The fans in the UK have always been great to me and supported me throughout my career, so an event like this has been a long time coming. I’m excited to add more history to the O2 Arena in London,” Mayweather
“I’m doing all the press, I’m doing all of the media, I’m doing all of the call-out videos while Floyd is walking around buying pink Birkin f****ng handbags .So while he’s buying handbags, I’m doing everything, literally everything. He’s walking around with 30 security guards so all I’m going to say is this time next week, 50-1,” Chalmers
