Fans Will Be Able To Buy UFC ‘Moments’ Through NFT
This weekend, UFC fans can purchase “moments” of the promotion’s history.
The UFC announced on Thursday that it partnered with Dapper Labs, who is also behind NBA Top Shot and NFL ALL DAY, to launch its own NFT on Sunday.
“Their vision for the potential of these products is the reason UFC chose Dapper Labs as its first NFT partner,” UFC senior vice president of global consumer products Tracey Bleczinski said.
“We’re thrilled to finally be able to offer these amazing digital collectibles to enrich the UFC experience for our fans.”
It’ll be titled “UFC Strike” and will consist of 100,000 packs of three “NFT Moments,” which highlights UFC action and finishes from multiple camera angles. It’ll also include announcer commentary and crowd reactions – all for $50 each.
The launch comes a day after the UFC heavyweight title unification between champ Francis Ngannou and interim champ Ciryl Gane.
Ngannou released his own NFT collectible last year and, earlier this week, said he was taking home half of his UFC 270 prize purse in Bitcoin.
