Ferguson Hints At UFC 229 Return
After a year away from his last time in the Octagon, it seems that Tony Ferguson is eyeing a return at UFC 229 in October.
Ferguson, who would win the interim lightweight title against Kevin Lee at UFC 216 in October 2017, was intended to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 for the undisputed lightweight crown, but would blow out his knee during a media appearance.
Last week, Ferguson confirmed that he was cleared to fight, four months after his injury. This week while promoting a collaboration with TOPPS, the former interim lightweight champion teased that he will be on UFC 229, headlined by Khabib Nurmagomedov defending his lightweight title against Conor McGregor.
