Fight Cards Revealed For Bellator 245, 246

While both nights have not been filled out yet, several big names have been added to the double-booked Bellator shows in September.

The promotion announced that Bellator 245 on Friday, September 11 will feature the returns of Ed Ruth, Rafael Carvalho, and Tyrell Fortune. This comes after the announcement of the main event being Phil Davis v. Lyoto Machida II. The co-main event will be the debuting Cat Zingano facing Gabby Holloway.

Ruth (8-2), will be returning to action for the first time since February. He lost to Yaroslav Amosov at Bellator 239 via unanimous decision. The former NCAA champion will face off against Taylor Johnson (5-1), who is making his Bellator debut.

Rounding out the main card will be Raymond Daniels (2-1) v. Peter Stanonik (5-4). Daniels debuted for Bellator in 2019, eleven years after his debut for Strikeforce. His last bout was a TKO win against Jason King in January at Bellator 238. Stanonik will be making his Bellator debut and will have his first MMA fight since 2018.

On the YouTube prelims, former Bellator Middleweight Champion Rafael Carvalho will return to light heavyweight to face off against Alex Polizzi (6-0). Carvalho (16-4) lost his light heavyweight debut to Vadim Nemkov in October, while Polizzi will be making his Bellator debut following stints in LFA and CFFC. Fortune (8-1) will be looking to rebound following his first loss against Timothy Johnson, while May (11-6) will return to Bellator after a fight in 2017. Finally, Keith Lee (6-3) will be looking for his fourth win in a row against Dominic Mazzotta (15-3), who is 2-2 in the Bellator cage.

The next night at Bellator 246, Juan Archuleta and Patrick Mix will fight to determine the new Bellator Middleweight Champion. The co-main event will see Jon Fitch face off against Neiman Gracie while Liz Carmouche makes her Bellator debut against DeAnna Bennett.

Rounding out the main card, for now, will be Derek Campos v. Roger Huerta. Campos (20-10) is 1-4 in his last five fights, losing to A.J. McKee in the quarterfinals of the Bellator Featherweight Grand Prix in December. Huerta (24-12-1, 1 NC) is on a three-fight losing streak, last fighting in November. He lost to Sidney Outlaw at Bellator 234 via unanimous decision.

On the YouTube prelims, Ty Gwerder (4-1) will face off against George Tokkos (4-1). Gwerder will be competing in his second fight for Bellator, and first since losing to Joseph Creer back in December. Tokkos will also look for his first Bellator win after losing to Kevin Fryer in November. Finally, Davion Franklin (1-0) will be looking for his second pro win inside the Bellator cage when he faces Ras Hylton (6-4).

Both shows will be taking place from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT and will air on Paramount Network and DAZN.
