First Few Minutes Of Russell Crowe’s MMA Film “Beast” Released

The first four minutes of “Beast,” the MMA action-film starring Daniel MacPherson and Academy Award winner Russell Crowe, has been released on YouTube. 

Set to hit U.S. theaters on April 10, the film follows the comeback of Patton James (MacPherson), a former champion forced back into professional fighting to settle a debt and protect his family. Crowe, who also co-wrote the screenplay, stars as “Sammy,” an old-school coach who mentors James.  

The footage, which you can watch below, captures the moment that James walks out to the arena after Sammy’s guidance. Viewers will recognize the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring crowd footage captured during the “ONE 170” event this past January.
