Floyd Mayweather Demanded Rule Change During Exhibition Fight
Floyd Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) has had his fair share of moments inside the ring. However, the boxing legend had one unusual request to make during his exhibition fight against Don Moore.
The boxing legend wanted to extend the lengths of the rounds in the middle of his fight. It was anything but a straightforward fight for Mayweather as the 45-year-old was taken all the way by the former sparring partner.
The fight was supposed to take place last Saturday but got postponed until this week due to the passing of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan. The contrast in skills was there for everyone to see as Mayweather started the fight on the front foot.
The advantage of the American’s speed proved too much for Moore in the early exchanges.
The American was completely dominated by his fellow countryman, who landed one of his best combinations in the fifth round.
Mayweather didn’t stop entertaining the crowd as he danced with the ring girls and even participated in the commentary. With around half a minute to go, “Money” sent Moore to the floor with a body shot.
The boxing legend killed the match as the fight came to an end. It almost felt like Moore was trying to hang in the fight during all the eight rounds.
