Mayweather had the following to say on sharing the ring with Paul (via Michael Benson).

“This is going to be a great night for fans worldwide as we are bringing something special to them. I have never shied away from doing things differently and fighting Logan Paul in this special exhibition is another opportunity for me to do it again.”

Paul also had something to say on the matchup.

“I am always searching for the ultimate challenge and it is a dream to go toe-to-toe with the greatest boxer alive. I am all in, and on February 20th, the world could witness the greatest upset in the history of sports.”

Mayweather is a future boxing Hall of Famer, who retired with a pro record of 50-0. Paul is a YouTube star, who has had one pro boxing fight and one amateur bout. Both fights were against fellow YouTuber KSI. Paul lost the pro bout via split decision.

With the success of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr., it appears Mayweather and Paul are looking to cash in. The Tyson vs. Jones pay-per-view reportedly drew about 1.2 million buys.
