Floyd Mayweather Offers To Help Make Cleto Reyes Gloves Popular

Floyd Mayweather is dubbed as one of the greatest boxers in history. And he cemented that history by donning Grant boxing gloves.

Mayweather apologized to the Cleto Reyes CEO for making competitor Grant Gloves incredibly popular. On Tuesday, he offered to do the same for Cleto Reyes and get fighters to wear their gloves again.

“I know I made other glove company big, that was me, I’m sorry,” Mayweather said.

“We gotta work together as a team. Yeah, we still gotta work together as a team, and we’re going to do it.”

Mayweather (50-0) stayed loyal to Grant gloves from 2006 up until the end of his pro boxing career in 2017.

Over that period, he faced many of boxing’s greatest including Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao to name a few – all of whom he defeated.

He did return to the ring for an exhibition matchup against YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul.

Mayweather remains in the boxing realm with his promotion, Mayweather Promotions.
