Floyd Mayweather Plans For February Exhibition In UK

Mayweather has not fought professionally since 2017.

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is adding two exhibition fights to his calendar in 2023.

The former five-time world champion retired from the sport in 2017 with an undefeated record of 50-0. His last professional fight was a memorable encounter against UFC star Conor McGregor.

In December 2018, Mayweather participated in his first exhibition fight. He traveled to Japan to face Tenshin Nasukawa in one round.

The Hall of Famer has fought two exhibition bouts so far in 2022. He went the distance against sparring partner Don Moore in Abu Dhabi. Then, he traveled to Japan to extinguish MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in two rounds in September.

The 45-year-old will take part in his third exhibition fight of 2022 in Dubai, where he will tackle YouTuber Deji.

“What’s so great about this fight is, we’re able to come together. And actually, Keane from FrontRow as well as Global Titans, he spoke to me and what is it February? February we’re looking forward to coming [to the UK] and putting on an exhibition for the fans in the UK,” Mayweather said.

“Because I never got to come over here [to the UK] and actually fight here when I was actively fighting. Hopefully, in February we can come over here and do an exhibition if it’s possible.”
