Floyd Mayweather Reacts To Canelo Alvarez’s Shocking Defeat Against Dmitry Bivol

Dmitry Bivol prevailed against Canelo Alvarez after a 12-round tussle on May 7. The result is still considered to be a disbelief among some of the neutrals considering everyone predicted Canelo to dismantle Bivol.

This defeat is only the second in 61 fights of Canelo’s career.

One of the notables that have reacted to this news is the boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather, who is the only other man to defeat Alvarez in his career.

The retired boxer posted a picture on his social media account, which showed a betting slip backing 4/1 underdog Bivol to the tune of $10,000. He put up a caption saying “easy pick up.”

The prediction from Mayweather made him earn $42,500, which becomes $52,500 overall.

Bivol openly congratulated everyone who was betting in favor of him.

Mayweather, 45, has retired from the sport since defeating Conor McGregor in 2017, which brought his overall win-loss record to an astonishing 50-0.

The American has enjoyed a few exhibitions in recent weeks as he gears up to fight Don Moore on May 14.
