Floyd Mayweather Vs. Don Moore Exhibition Moved To Abu Dhabi For This Saturday

Floyd Mayweather won’t have his helipad.

But the retired boxer will still have his fight on Saturday, May 21. The exhibition match against former sparring partner Don Moore will instead take place on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

It was originally planned for May 14 on a helipad on top of Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, but the death of UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on May 13 forced a three-day suspension of work and service throughout the nation.

Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) was able to muster up what was left of Saturday’s event.

Former lightweight champion Delfine Persoon (46-3, 19 KOs) will face undefeated Elhem Mekhaled (15-0, 3 KOs) in a WBC silver junior lightweight title fight.

MMA legend Anderson Silva will be the co-main event and take on Bruno Machado in an MMA exhibition bout.

Former two-division champion Badou Jack (25-3-3, 15 KOs) will also be on the card.

Moore (16-0-1, 12 KOs) has not fought since 2016 and has faced relatively unknown opponents.

Mayweather will participate in his third exhibition match since retiring in 2017. His latest was against novice Logan Paul and the first was against Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018 in Saitama, Japan.
