Floyd Mayweather’s Daughter Takes Plea Deal For Stabbing A Woman

The incident stems from April 2020.

The daughter of retired and undefeated boxing icon Floyd Mayweather Jr has avoided prison.

Iyanna Mayweather, 22, will reportedly serve six years of probation after agreeing to a plea bargain where she would spend no time behind bars. As a result, she has admitted to stabbing Lapttra Lashai Jacobs in April 2020.

If she abides by all the rules, the arrest can be expunged from her record within two years.

“We resolved the case between Iyanna and the State,” her attorney Ken Schaffer told XXL.

“The agreement calls for Iyanna to be on deferred adjudication for six years after which she will have no felony conviction and the case will be dismissed. She is eligible to have the deferred adjudication end after two years pending her good behavior.”

Court documents previously obtained by Page Six said that Iyanna agreed to the prosecutor’s recommended punishment of six years of probation, 40 hours of community service and “no harassing, threatening or abusive contact” with Jacobs.

When she was first arrested, it was estimated that she could have been sentenced to 20 years.

In April 2020, Iyanna claimed that she was defending herself when she allegedly grabbed a pair of knives and ran at Jacobs in rapper YoungBoy NBA’s kitchen. Iyanna reportedly told Jacob’s that she was YoungBoy’s fiancée, which was when the argument turned physical. She added that Jacobs pulled her hair prior to the alleged stabbing.

“Although we believe that Iyanna was defending herself after being attacked, we thought this was the safest resolution for her,” Schaffer said of the plea deal.

“This is especially true since her boyfriend and his bodyguards refused to testify; probably due to their own legal problems.”

YoungBoy has a number of firearms-related arrests as well as probation violations. The rapper and Iyanna have a child together, but are reportedly no longer together.

Jacobs showed bandaged injuries on social media in May 2020. She said she had severe pain.

As for Iyanna’s father, Mayweather Jr has had several domestic violence arrests and previously served two months in prison in 2012.
