New footage has surfaced from featherweight prospect Shakur Stevenson’s arrest in a parking lot brawl in Florida that was caught on video, according to a report from Slater Scoops.
Stevenson and fellow boxer David Grayson are both charged with misdemeanor battery, but footage from the brawl could lead to both receiving felony charges.
The footage shows Stevenson throwing a haymaker, aiming to hit a man, but missing and hitting a nearby woman instead. After a brief separation, things escalate when Grayton — comes in and goes after two men and a woman.
Photographs obtained by Slater Scoops, run by radio personality Andy Slater, show a male and female victim each sporting black eyes and bruises around their faces, with the male being bloodied up and his eyes were swollen.
The brawl was reportedly set off when the pair of pro boxers allegedly made sexual comments towards two women. The pair fled the scene while the victims were treated, but officials later caught up with them at a South Beach hotel. Stevenson was in the area celebrating his birthday.
Top Rank and CEO Bob Arum have given no comment on the matter. Stevenson has been scheduled to face Christopher Diaz at Madison Square Garden on April 20 as part of the undercard for Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan.
Stevenson is due in court on September 27.
