The UFC welterweight division has added a notable new name, announcing the signing of former two-division KSW champion Roberto Soldić (21-4, 1 NC) during Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 287 broadcast.
Soldić has inked a multi-fight contract and will make his Octagon debut on October 3 at UFC 332, taking on 11-fight promotional veteran Khaos Williams (16-5) in a 170-pound bout at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
The 31-year-old Croatian built his reputation under the KSW banner, where he claimed both the welterweight and middleweight titles and split a memorable two-fight series with future UFC champion Dricus du Plessis (24-3), picking up a knockout win in one of the two meetings.
He then signed with ONE Championship, where he went 1-1 with one no-contest before eventually making his way to the UFC.
Williams, 32, enters the matchup off a first-round knockout of Nikolay Veretennikov at UFC Fight Night 276 in May, giving Soldić a dangerous test in his promotional debut.
