Former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey Returns To WWE For WrestleMania 38
Ronda Rousey is returning to action.
But it won’t be in the octagon. Instead, she’ll be challenging Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship on Night 1 in the main event at WrestleMania 38, FOX Sports reported.
This will be Rousey’s first match since earning the title shot in January after winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
The former UFC champion took a sabbatical from WWE to start a family with fellow UFC competitor Trevor Browne. They had their first child La’akea Makalapuaokalanipo Browne in September.
“Since the day I knew my due date to have Pō, I was determined to return to WWE at Royal Rumble 4 months postpartum,” she tweeted after making a surprise return at the event. “Watch out b—-es, cause #WrestleMania I’ll be 8 #ThisIsntEvenMyFinalForm,” she tweeted.
