Former UFC Fighter Luis Pena Arrested For Third Time Since June

Former UFC lightweight Luis Pena once again finds himself in trouble with the law as he was arrested for the third time this year.

According to online Broward County, Florida online records, Pena was arrested by the Deerfield Beach Police Department on Monday. The Naples-born fighter faces two new charges of misdemeanor battery and criminal mischief, which adds to the list of his past domestic violence and bodily harm causing battery charges.

He is currently detained at Paul Rein Detention Center in Pompano Beach, Florida with his bail set at $6,000.

The news first reported by TSN reporter, Aaron Bronsteter.

Pena, 28, was arrested back in June for the first time on account of felony charges of robbery, battery and criminal mischief after he was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend where he reportedly punched her and broker her cell phone.

The bond was set at $1000 on that occasion.

Pena’s second arrest came on October 10 as he was charged with battery and domestic violence against the same woman. This time the things went a bit too far as he allegedly punched her girlfriend multiple times and then struck another woman who tried to intervene.

He was then arrested by the Deerfield Beach Police Department officers who responded after receiving a domestic disturbance call on 911.

Later that month, Pena was released by the UFC following a nine-fight stint with the promotion.
