Former UFC Fighter To Compete With Popular Names On Netflix Reality Series

"Sexyama" finds an opportunity in a new contest

Former UFC fighter and existing part of the One Championship roster is one of the MMA fighters taking part in the new Netflix reality series, Physical:100.

The new Korean show is considered a real version of the Squid Games. It is a series containing individuals struggling with their finances. Eventually, they risk their financial struggles to play a deadly children’s game to win millions.

This Netflix series has several grueling challenges, with multiple contestants fighting for rewards because of last man or woman standing.

Considering the originality and realness of the show, it is not a surprise that multiple fighters, including Yoshihiro Akiyama (16-7, 2 NC) are involved.

Akiyama has 25 matches under his belt since his debut in 2004. The 47-year-old has a history of competing under popular banners, such as K-1 and Dream. The Japanese athlete also has a tenure in the UFC.

He had a disappointing record of 2-5 in the UFC. After his debut win over Alan Belcher, Akiyama suffered four consecutive losses against Chris Leben, Michael Bisping, Vitor Belfort, and Jake Shields respectively.

More Recently, Akiyama was triumphant over former champion Shinya Aoki in the ONE Championship circle.

 

“Sexyama” is one of many fighters seen in the Netflix series,”Physical: 100″. It is going to be a top 5 series in the US after its release last week.
