UPDATE: Former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos keeps trying to get an opportunity to fight against Conor McGregor.

UPDATED: July 8,2021 at 5:25 PM EDT:
Rafael Dos Anjos, seeing McGregors social media post that dos Anjos was the backup fighter, McGregor suggested that the UFC put him and Poirier into the Octagon together same time to fight him. Seeing McGregor’s comments, dos Anjos took to social media to fire back at the Irishman, suggesting that he was drunk when he tweeted that out.

Everyone wants to fight with the first-ever UFC double champion Conor McGregor because this is the money fight. Win or lose fighters can make big bucks.

Rafael Dos Anjos is in Las Vegas, losing weight to be ready as a replacement fighter for the main event of the UFC 264, which will be a trilogy clash between Dustin “Diamond” Poirier vs Conor “The Notorious One” McGregor.

Irish man knows how to use such a moment to reveal his bombshell comments and posts on social media, nor was this situation an exception, so he responded via Twitter:

Put Dos Anjos at the same time.”

The fight between McGregor and RDA was booked in the UFC 196 main event, but RDA was out due to Leg injury. Nate Diaz replaced the Brazilian fighter and served the Irish man his first-ever loss in the UFC via second-round submission (Rear-Naked Choke). It was one of the biggest upsets in the UFC.

RDA changed his weight category for a few years, but he is still fighting in the lightweight division and is ready to compete with the best fighters in the world. If and only if Poirier will be out because of some injury, RDA will get his golden opportunity to fight with the Pride of Ireland.

Last time Rafael Dos Anjos (31-13-0) graced a UFC octagon against Paul Felder at UFC Fight Night 182 and won via split decision.

UFC 264 takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada. On July 10th at T-Mobile Arena.
