Four Fights Announced For Bellator MMA And Rizin Fighting Federation

Four fights have been announced for the exclusive collaboration of Bellator MMA and Rizin Fighting Federation. Those fights will be set on New Year’s Eve in Japan.

On October 24, it was announced that the Asian and North American promotions would join forces to finish the year with a card from the Saitama Super Arena. It will be aired on December 31 in the United States.

If we talk about the confirmed fights, Bellator is represented on the left, and Rizin is represented on the right

  • Kyoji Horiguchi vs. Hiromasa Ougikubo (flyweight)
  • Patrício Pitbull vs. Kleber Koike (featherweight)
  • AJ McKee vs. Roberto Satoshi Souza (lightweight)
  • Juan Archuleta vs. Soo Chul Kim (bantamweight)

As the upcoming markup between Bellator and Rizin will be significant, the two promotions have worked together on several occasions.

Before 2019’s co-promoted Bellator 237 event in Japan, Coker teased the audience with a promotion vs. promotion card down the line.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted promotional travel, the two promotions are set to work together again on another New Year’s Eve extravaganza.
