FOX & ESPN Put In Joint Bid For UFC Rights

Following the patterns of the MLB, NFL, and NBA, the UFC may soon be airing on multiple networks, as ESPN and Fox Sports are teaming up for their television rights.

First reported by Variety, the two companies have proposed to split the UFC TV package, which would bring 15 events to ESPN+, their new subscription service.

ESPN would look to pay between $120-180 million, with FOX paying a little more than $200 million for their half of the package..

Representative for ESPN, Fox Sports, and Endeavor declined to comment.

UFC’s ownership, Endeavor is seeking between $300-400 million dollars per year in a new deal, but also may consider keeping their distribution rights in-house following their purchase of streaming provider NeuLion.
