Francis Ngannou Has Two Names On His Mind For Boxing Debut

The former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou is all in for a boxing debut and has

already set his eyes on two active fighters competing there.

Ngannou’s release from the UFC sent shock waves throughout the MMA world. After a long arbitration, the Predator was unable to reach a common term resulting in him being dropped from the roster.

Now with him being no longer associated with the UFC brass, it is a perfect opportunity for him to fulfil his dream of competing inside the tied ropes and bagging millions which he richly deserves.

For that, the Cameroonian has already lined up a couple of names and is hopeful that he will be able to persuade them to fight him.

While talking to Ariel Helwani on his podcast show, The MMA Hour, Ngannou revealed that Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are the two main options on his boxing wish list.

“I don’t know where he’s at right now, but I’m gonna find out,” Ngannou said of Fury. “It’s time. Before, besides those social media (posts), we couldn’t do anything concrete. But now, we can engage in talks (and) do everything. So it’s time (for us) to figure that out.”

Even if Ngannou fails to convince the pair, he can still have his boxing dream materialize in exemplary fashion as his former foe, Stipe Miocic is more than happy with a trilogy fight and that too in boxing.

“That would be fantastic,” Miocic answered when asked if he’d be interested in facing Ngannou in the boxing ring.

With Miocic almost nearing the end of his fighting career, it would be a perfect send-off to check off the Ngannou trilogy box before it’s all said and done.
