Francis Ngannou Is Going To ‘Stop The Hype’ Around Ciryl Gane

Francis Ngannou is out to prove that he is the better man.

The UFC heavyweight champion is also out to “stop the hype” around interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane.

“He’s good and he’s just going to get better. He’s good. He’s talented, that’s for sure, and that’s the reason why he’s there, where he’s at,” Ngannou said on his YouTube channel.

“Right now? I’m just better, man, I’m just the man that’s going to stop the hype, and I can’t wait to get to this fight because what’s really funny about this is everybody that talks about this fight hypes him up.”

Gane stunned MMA fans when he scored a technical knockout over Derrick Lewis. Meanwhile, Ngannou is coming off a knockout victory against Stipe Miocic, stripping him of the UFC gold.

Ngannou and Gane used to be teammates.

In other news, for Gane, he said he wants to test his skills in boxing.

He is known for his kickboxing and striking skills, and was actually in between choosing MMA or boxing.

He said he would want to face Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder.

Ngannou and Gane will meet in the octagon on January 22 in the main event of UFC 270.
