Francis Ngannou Looks Different Ahead Of Title Fight Vs. Ciryl Gane

Something about Francis Ngannou seems different.

Fans on social media pointed out the change on Tuesday when Mike Bohn, of MMA Junkie, posted a picture of the current heavyweight king.

Ngannou is preparing for his unification fight against interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane, who previously beat Derrick Lewis in August.

The Cameroonian has expressed how he doesn’t like that the UFC held an interim heavyweight fight without him. But now, come January, he’ll be making his first ever title defense.

Ngannou won the belt after a KO/TKO victory in his rematch against Stipe Miocic in March.

But now, on social media, some fans seem to be counting Ngannou because it looks like the champ has lost some muscle.

Gane said he knows what he must do to snag the belt on January 22.

“He’s really well rounded now, and I think it’s going to be more like that. Because he knows I can manage the power. I think he knows I can manage the power. So maybe he should be a smart fighter this day [when we fight],” Gane said.
